April Aguirre grew up in the San Fernando Valley and currently resides in West L.A., where she is pursuing her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English Literature at Mount St. Mary's College. She actively writes for school publications like the annual literary magazine, Mount Voices. April's writings draw heavily from personal circumstances and often integrate issues of culture, identity and human relations. Aside from writing, April has enlisted learning new languages and travel as life goals since her five-month experience this past year in Rome, Italy, that left quite a mark. Upon graduating in December of 2004, April hopes that writing will not take a back seat to school loan payments and, on the contrary, anticipates that writing will be the key to getting those loans paid off. |
