Comment on A Land of Contradictions BY Fuji Why is it no one admits that democracy's No. 1 enemy in Iran is class. The widening gap between the rich and the poor which is now more pronounced than ever--even pre-revolution times--would never allow Iranians to come anywhere close to a civil society. For now, people hate each other. Just try taking a short walk on any crowded street in Tehran and you will see what I mean.
