The Persians were hardly insulted on the contrary. The real flaw in Oliver Stones movie was the battle scene of Guagamela that was unfortunately not storyboarded enough and probably had the film not been delayed because of security issues and Bomb attacks in Morroco because of the War In Iraq, Stone would have done a better job. As for Darius III he had absolutely no real personality in that film proving that the films major flaw was the script and the bad casting. Stones Political metaphore was aimed at War in general and Bush to some degree but the film was clearly shot in haste and it shows.
Its incredible how easily you can make people think something based on fallacious arguments. What most people don't get is that 300 is actually a Horror Movie Epic than a History movie like lets say The Queen or Even Alexander
If you can make people see Khomeini on the Moon well I suppose you can also make them see History in a non Historical film ...
