I am a 33 year old mother of 2 children and I am a student in a program designed to work with and help abused women. I am currently working on a project which requires that I interview several women from Iran who has immigrated to the west. I would like to know what the initial difficulties were, and which if any issues persisted. I greatly appreciate any one who can assist me in this. Confidentiality is guaranteed.

How to return to education
I would like to get more information about how to start new eduction. I'm an Iranian woman with more than 23 years experience in secretarial and clerical field. Would you mentor an ambitious college student
I just joined college in north california but it is first time I am leaving home and a loving family behind.
I am very ambitious, intelligent and want to reach high. But am anxious and do not know what to do.
I would be grateful if someone who has goen through my experience accept to guide me.

My dear friend. ANy time you leave the loved ones there seem to be a vaccum in your life. As it should be. The key in this kind of situation is to focus on why you left at the first place. In your case you did it to further your understanding of the owrld around you via an education. Therefore, you are really doing it to expand not only your own horison but rather the member of your own family in an indirect way. Your family will be so much influenced by the new changes that you bring to their lives by your positive approcah towards your life and theirs.
